Seriously a beach vacation is the only way. If she doesn't do anything for that trip then you are screwed or she likes her new body type. Fat and a little over weight is a big difference

A friend of a friend told his long term girlfriend that she will either be in the gym to get in shape to stay with him or she will be in the gym because she was single

She is now in the gym because she is single

You have obviously already discussed it and made your feelings known. She is happy as is and uninterested in returning to her former glory.

Putting her in a pit and controlling her caloric intake is not legal.

Have you tried rubbing toilet paper up and down her cleavage?

I haven't read this thread, but if anyone is interested, my wife recently started something called "the 21 day fix." She wasn't fat, by any stretch, but she had picked up a little more fluff than she liked. Anyway, it runs in 21 day cycles. After the first cycle, she had lost 5-6 pounds and several inches. The key part, though, is she says unlike any other diet she's ever tried, she actually feels good on this one. She's not starving and has more energy, etc. So, there ya go. If anybody is looking for a new plan to drop a few pounds, I'd say it's worth a shot.

Yep. If you're going to say it get your money's worth. Say that you don't want to date a fatty. At least then she'll know where you really stand.

That seems like a real risky adventure, one that very few would be able to return home from and live to tell the stories of strife and struggle.

I've always been active. I always work out, run, or am trying to keep myself fit. So, I lead by example. And I make it known..."I can't be there at 5:30, I have to work out first...I'll hustle, though" or "I don't want to go get donuts tomorrow morning, I planned to go run".

It works.

Also, when people bring that junk food into the office I don't usually fall for it. There were three boxes of donuts in the office this morning and I didn't even flinch. King cake, though...well, every man has his kryptonite.

Or, he could be all fat positive and accept her as she is, like that Kracka guy said. No need to be shallow and not accept an appearance that is a radical departure from what you were attracted to when you started dating. It is up to you to deny your nature and be aroused by a body type that disgusts you.

Oh I agree. Women gaining a little weight never bothered me.

I'm just saying if he's going to suggest this to her don't hide behind the health pretense or anything else. Just say I'm not attracted to fat people. That's how she's going to hear it anyways.

Once she has your kid she owns you. Not much leverage on your end.
