Excluding mortgage, my family of four could live off $2500 a month. We don't, but we could. No debt other than mortgage, budgets in place for dining out, fun money etc . If you "need" $10k a month something is wrong.

I love how when any poster has a high budget there are a rush of downvotes immediately haha. Some very jealous people on this site.

How did I know that 90% of this thread is fricking bullshite? Why does one fill the need to lie on the internet? What goes through ones head that he thinks he should tell strangers Blatant lies?
Nobody in this goddamn forum makes 20k a month. I don’t give a frick what you tell me. Eat a dick.

How? Do you live in a cardboard box?
minimum wage, after taxes, isn't going to pay a house note

By myself would be around 5k. I’d have to give up a lot of things I like though.
ETA: in reality I have a wife and 2 kids, and mortgage and private school and vehicles notes and country club dues and gym membership and all kids of other shite I can’t remember

A family of two working professionals making $150K each is $300K annually and about $17.5K a month take home. I don’t think this is an outrageous example and gets you pretty close to this magical $20K number that seems so unattainable.
It’s unlikely that here are many posters making $350K+ on a single income but it’s not unreasonable to expect some on the board. TDings as a population is not average America.
