I understand that’s how it’s supposed to work but seems a whole lot of people don’t follow that because they find it difficult to eat the amount of food they need for proper nutrition.

How do you define proper nutrition? This varies tremendously from person to person and even culturally. There isn’t one gold standard definition of proper nutrition.

If someone has excess fat stores, they have nutrition to feed their body. If you’re talking about consuming an ideal amount of protein or fiber, that is subjective.

I don’t think this would be very problematic until they start running out of fat stores on their bodies. At that point, I imagine it would be simple to cut back on the dosage to reduce appetite suppression.

Will the bonjourno still work if you have thyroid problems or lots of kids birthday parties that interfere with eating right?

Not if you’ve eaten the next 3 years of food in advance.

It has a notable side effect of causing permanent blindness.

Sorry, if you can't see the fat, it's still there.

Well, for the first intended use they are great. The GLP1 increases insulin your pancreas releases (mine does not release or make nearly enough) while also controls the release of glucagon which also regulates blood sugar in your body.

For Diabetic folks it is truly a miracle drug. Insulin works, no doubt, but it also makes you extremely hungry. IT is too damn good at its job.

Most of those on diabetes are constantly being told by their body that they need calories and dense calorie foods like sweets so they have trouble not consuming them. Your blood might be full of glucose but you don't have the proper amount of insulin to in your cells and your cells are sending the order up the chain to eat, eat eat.

Too many thinks that being fat causes diabetes, and the fact is often times the diabetes makes you fat. Just like everything there is no fast rule. I can say when I was on insulin I ballooned up pretty good, I was ALWAYS hungry when I was almost never hungry before

Honestly, the benefits of ozempic outweigh the negatives of obesity so I am coming around on it being more widely available. I still believe supplies should be prioritized for diabetics... but the new trend is for woman to load up on sugar during their glucose tolerance test to get the diabetes diagnoses and get the ozempic for "diabetes" covered by insurance. Pretty shitty if you ask me, you can get alternatives of the exact same thing for weight loss.
