When do they start calling you?
Posted on 5/14/20 at 10:51 am to Double Oh
They already track your movements through the google
But it's not a coincidence that the government planned a multi-city flyover (for our enjoyment, right!) around the time they started "contact tracing"

between these frickers and telemarketers, I'm not answering my phone unless its from someone I know.
Leave a VM and I'll call you back. Maybe.

I haven't yet but if I could report someone I would report my dumbass sister's sister-in-law. Her daughter has it, tested positive for it, and she still let her and my niece play together an entire day the day after testing positive and she never once told anyone. My sister had to find out by accident only after my niece played with her an entire day and after we all got together for Mother's Day. Not only was I exposed, but my aging parents with diabetes and blood pressure issues, my toddler, my pregnant wife, my pregnant sister-in-law, and my near-80 year old mother & father in law who have major health issues. We'd never have had a Mother's Day get together if we had known about my niece's exposure to a confirmed positive patient.
frick that irresponsible ignorant arse bitch. If it spreads within my or my wife's family because of that, I hope she (sister's sister-in-law) rots in hell one day.
Yea, I'm mad.

Another thing a lot of people haven't thought about -- DNA databases have grown from all of this. If they didn't have it before ,they do now

So did anyone else test positive?

Mother's Day was Sunday. We've barely had time to develop symptoms yet. I doubt we will because most of us who were exposed are young and healthy but it was still a dumb arse thing of her to keep a secret.

I don’t understand how contact tracing is going to work for Covid 19 It seems like just about everyone in Louisiana will be on the list in about a week.
I can see where it works for STD’s but not this.

I don't have that option as I'm currently in job search mode.

can't wait to give them an OT answer.
"I had contact with your mom last night, does that count?"

It won't work, and it is pointless for something like Covid-19 that is already community spread, has a long period before symptom onset, and a large number of asymptomatic carriers. Contact tracing would have worked in the first weeks that the virus was in the US, but not now. There are too many cases, and they are too widespread.
For something like Ebola, contact tracing is vital. It acts and kills quickly. People don't go grocery shopping with Ebola, they are too preoccupied with their innards melting.

This board confuses me from day to day . One day it is “open everything up “ don’t care if I get exposed etc etc , then the next day you want someone to rot in hell bc you were exposed
Is it all a hoax and we don’t care about social distancing or what ?

You won’t find me claiming it’s a hoax. Never have and won’t.
ETA: If you think the OT is bad, head over to the political talk and see what they all say about it.

And I will ask, whose responsibility is it to call people if someone on the list tests positive? A government employee? Is that job passed back down the chain to the store or location the name was traced to? If so, every business better be hiring a special Contract Tracer because 19 year old Becky at the reception desk ain't gonna cut it.

Colorado governor showed their hand yesterday.. Contact tracing will be used to force quarantine 20 people who were in the same restaraunt at the same time as 1 person who tested positive.
After that they might even take your kids out of your house to protect them from you...
