I think you are misreading my statements. I am not referring to the white/black relationship.

I am addressing the black population and the relationship between its subgroups.

You stated that a wealthy black person isn't labeled an Uncle Tom just because he is wealthy and black. I completely agree with that.

My comment was addressing how the perpetuation of a singular identity by the existence of black leaders and the marginalization of opposing viewpoints by media-deemed black leaders gives off the idea that blacks are a singular population.

It is kind of a media-driven, self-perpetuating situation.

I assume blacks don't want to be seen as a singular group, but the media pushes them that way. The loudest voice sets the tone.

I've been a long time lurker. I agree with one of the earlier statements. It really is a shame that people see black and white out of this instead of worrying about the kid. Those adults deserve to be beaten for their actions...or lack there of
