There's a difference between WEATHER and CLIMATE.

Most people don't understand that.

If we have a cold snap, a snow, or an ice storm down South that's an example of the weather.

Now a flood event, a hot spell, or a hurricane is an example of climate change.

Some don't even know that Forrest fires and earth quakes are also evidence of climate change.

It's alarming to see how many people do not understand the difference.

Funny, I don't remember studying about that in both Geologies that I took at LSU. I do remember that two plates are meeting up with one another(one plate is under the other plate), and the movement of the earthquake comes from the rebound effect of the land giving way suddenly (rubber band effect).

Forrest fires
Are caused by people (camp fires, cigarette butt thrown out the window, in some cases on purpose, etc.) Not really sure how a change in climate will cause spontaneous combustion in a forrest.

Now if you want to talk over population of idiots being irresponsible with fire in a forrest, I can get in that discussion.

I love the fact you seriously believe this is a counterpoint of some kind.

Dude, a politician straight up brought a snowball into Congress to prove climate change is a hoax. It's endemic ignorance.

The 97% number was likely overstated, but it’s a statistic so it can be manipulated to suit anyone’s argument. Even if it was overstated, would saying there is 80% to 90% consensus be that much weaker of a statistic? It’s still the overwhelming majority no matter which way you look at it.

I have trouble believing the “science” is unbiased, when all of their funding comes from government. As long as they find man made climate change, then more research (money) is needed.

How did all of the great climate changes of the past eons occur without man and his combustion engine?
