The city is partnering with the Grand Alps Resort and Hard Rock Hotels for the $215 million project. It will be located at the northwest corner of I-30 and Belt Line across from Lone Star Park. The indoor ski resort will operate year-round and will include a ski slope measuring nearly 300 feet tall and 1200 feet long, an indoor ice climbing wall, luge track and winter wonderland play area.

Have fun skiing on ice and around hundreds of little kids.

I'll stick with fresh pow in Aspen.

This one will. They are already doing the earth work on it. It's about a mile from my house.

Not really. There are tons of folks in Dallas who have condos/second homes that they only use a few weeks a year. This will give 'em somewhere to ski the rest of the year.

It will be run like Top Golf and cater to team building and shite during the week... High end crowd on weekends.

If what I said was "badass" to you, I really pity you.

I prefer Keystone or Heavenly, but that's not the point. For some people, this will be within driving distance and still fun.

Somewhat accurate. If you've never been skiing or don't ski regularly , this will be occasionally fun. If you ski even one week per year, indoor skiing will be a serious let down.

No, you just get Ebolasicles. Tasty treats for the kiddos.
