I think a smiley face is around more than people realize. In cities, towns etc.

And if not.. it's a convenient way for killers to throw people off their track.

I think the smilies faces are a coincidence. I think it is a mistake to not look at these cases as individual cases and as a serial crime.

It is odd though, the victims seem to be a lot of young white males. A lot seem normal middle class.

Would be weird if it's like a pact of 10 John Wayne gacy kind of guys who met in a late 90s chatroom, and who are extremely loyal to silence.

They said there may be up to 200 cases. It’s hard for one person to be silent much less multiple..

There's much more than just the smiley face graffiti that connects the killings. Each one is a college age white male who leaves a party, goes missing, and is found washed up and the cause of death is determined to be drowning. Also they all have a date rape drug in their system, mostly GHB. I suggest listening to the podcast "Tim Dillon is Going to Hell" episode where he interviews a man who claims to be a survivor of the smiley face killers. How at first he thought he just got too fricked up when he woke up on top of a river reservoir after having drinks with a girl he met earlier in the night, and how GHB was in his system. He the says how days later he went back to the reservoir to make sense of it all and by accident stumbled across a smiley face at the exact site. Pretty chilling stuff.

In two of the cases I knew people in the same social circle of a person who went missing in New Jersey and Providence, RI and in both cases the friends thought it was suspicious. The idea that young men out with friends are found drowned afterwards is weird. The cases are all so similar. Several years ago there were several people who thought these cases had a link. To think there are hundreds of these cases is weird, unless that many people either jump or fall into rivers on their way home at night.

What concerns me most I’s how easily the police just dismiss these deaths as accident. Lazy police work with the technology avalible today is a shame.

The victims are saying their killer is smiling at them right before they are murdered. It is terrible.
