I still don't think this situation rose to the level of pulling out guns. They could have been backing up and just told her to dump the water out and only pull out the guns if she tried to approach them with the boiling pot of water.

Cop should burn alive

I don't see anything from the video that leads me to believe that she was about to toss boiling hot water on the police officers.

He could also be allergic to water.

Technically, the woman did try to throw the hot water at them. Even though the cops were super aggressive, is it how they were trained in these types of situations?

I mean the cop is definitely in the wrong on this one

So her trying to stand up with the pot of water and having it in a position to throw it forward didn't stick out?

He could have just ran out of the room and got a tazer. Or pulled a gun out of toss range, and told her to drop it. But nope, he decided to mag dump her.

That could have been from her leaping to the ground when he came around with the pistol aimed at her.
Unless she was an East German olympic shot putter, that boiling water wasn't getting to the deputy's face.

I mean... anyone who would argue that he was justified is just being silly.

Should it have escalated to this point? No
Do I buy that she was Ms Innocent, made a "joke" and was cowering? no
Can anyone tell definitively from the video whether there is water in the pot? Doesn't appear you can to me.
It appears that she ducked down and wanted to ambush him as he was rounding the corner.
Still, he shouldn't have had his gun on at this point. A taser would have been more than sufficient. He could have waited her out and the water would no longer be boiling temperature as well.

Because it surely would have reached him, right? Well, it might have gotten halfway there, anyways.

By this logic me standing in front of you with arms/hands attached to me poses an assault hazard to you simply because they could be made into fists.

After seeing it in slow motion, I still think the police are responsible for the death, just not 1st degree murder charges.

Pretty shitty society nowadays when you have to weigh your chances of a possible prowler killing you versus calling the police and them killing you.

I saw steam in the initial video after she was shot.

The only way this escalates to George Floyd 2.0 is if people try to defend the cop's actions here..

Cops aren't your friends. They're simply foot soldiers of the state.
Gets pulled over
''Officer, why are you robbing me with a firearm''
''This isn't an armed robbery, I just need to see ID, sir''
''What happens if I drive off then''?
