I travel a lot and your internet needs to be hauling arse or you’ll be watching a buffery glitch-fest. I’m currently on google fiber which streams everytjing else fine, but youtube.tv -though having a nice channel lineup - was unusable for live events.
I’m now on dtv for $25 a month (through at&t) and it’s been great. Just my experience, though.

Don't know about the product but their commercials are fricking annoying

Before football season last year I needed a way to get ESPN after having scratched my almost 200 dollar universe package and just keeping internet.
Sling was the cheapest way to get ESPN. It was lame. Yes I could watch football, but no DVR function on ESPN sucked. I was used to uverse, and a 30 to 40 minute delayed start, and fast forward through commercials into the 4th quarter before catching up with live action.
Not with sling. Then only stream on one device, so no game in the house and on the patio at the same time. Lame.
I was on wireless from xbox or roku. Resolution went terrible and it would lag and freeze sometimes go completely black from connection speed. I have 25 megs down but bandwidth. So picture was usually crappy.
It was cheap, but that's it.
I'm trying hulu now because you are supposed to be able to DVR ESPN with it. It works.
Same problem with picture resolution though. It automatically adjusts resolution per your connection speed. I'd have to turn off every device in the house to keep an HD picture.

They have a package for multiple streams.

I had to go to a hardwired fire tv to finally get it to not do what you described.

Im almost ready to go to Hulu TV. It would be like a couple dollar difference than sling and Hulu separate subscriptions so its not a rush.

Youtube TV. Has the best UI and DVR. Frame by frane forward. You can tell when a game went overtime by the length of DVR. Knew the saints went OT this Sunday when it recorded for 4 hrs

Thanks to this thread I just ordered a roku stick (have a fire stick right now) and youtubetv. Unlimited cloud dvr, sec network, and a good channel package. Thank you!

What type of internet package would I need with YouTubetv? I know what I have now won’t be sufficient unless I want constant buffering

Have had PSvue for close to a year. It meets all my sports needs. All the espn’s, cbs sports, SEC network, MLB, and others. Pretty much has everything that we like.

Had Sling TV for a few months; made the switch to PSVue about a year ago and it's much better. It just recently added my local Fox and NBC channels also, which is nice. Was thinking about YouTube TV but last time I checked it, they didn't have Bravo so it was a no-go with the wife.

If you are anyway internet savvy then you can just pay for internet and watch everything else through the web. Even HDMI it up to the TV. UFC PPV fights, sports, movies, etc can be streamed for the most part. Some stuff may be hard to find but most popular stuff is out there for free to stream.

You're definitely correct. I mean I go to reddit every Sunday to watch whatever NFL games I want to, but it's a pain in the arse to switch between games, and the streams can be inconsistent. It's worth paying the relatively small amount each month for some level of reliability and ease of use, plus not having to run my laptop to the TV, which I then can't use.

Had it last year for football season. Was not a fan of it at all. The app was laggy and pretty worthless for watching live sports. Ended up basically just using it for the ESPN app login.
Ditto. The most annoying part to me was the video lagging behind the audio, often by 30+ seconds. Never again.
