Video showing what the news failed to report the first time

The cop didn't arrest him for cursing his kid. This trash got arrested for cursing out the cop.

Is it illegal to curse the cop? Depends on what the cop considers disturbing the peace.

I think we can all agree that if Kevin would have just said "my bad, excuse me for cursing out my 4 year old", went in and "just got his asparagus" he wouldn't have been put in cuffs.

But noooo, he kept it real!

Walmart will come forward an apologize for this. Private business.

Guy is a piece of shite and questionable parenting skills cursing his kid, but Johnny Law there is a shitty cop as well.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Go directly to jail.
Just because you act out and be loud don’t mean your right.
Kudos to the men in blue.

I would say that qualifies as disturbing the peace.

I knew this was coming. Everyone saying that he was just cursing at his kid, were quoting the arrested individual and his claims as such. Without any video evidence of said initial event.

When the video is shown in court, I believe it will be considered disturbing the peace.

Here again, a cop can arrest you for just about whatever.

There is gray area in a lot of laws.

You want to put a cop in his place? Fine. Do it in court, not on the street. You will never win.

While the dad might have gone too far with what he said (I am assuming, I didn't hear), there was really no need for the cop to get involved.

Maybe it is just me.. Maybe I just come from trashy people.. But if I did something to make my mom made, it was nothing for her to drop a few bad words at me. She didn't use "frick" or anything. She would say something like "you little son of a bitch" "I will slap the shite out of you" "god dammit to hell ill slap the piss out of you"...

And I am pretty sure if a policeman would have told her something she would have had a few choice words for him...

What's sad is that I am not joking in the least bit.

Unless something illegal was taking place, its not the cop's job to get involved.

Something illegal was taking place - disturbing the peace.

This is a forum that prides itself on chanting STTDB, but think this guy needs to be arrested for telling a cop to mind his own business.

Then again it is a black guy getting arrested, so they have competing interest.

He challenged the cop by telling him to "call whoever he wanna call, b*tch"

He also threatened the cop by telling him "b*tch I'll f*ck you up"

Challenge accepted I guess.

It's a reality like it or not, you just can't beat the cops on the street out in public

Not until the cop got involved and escalated the situation by harassing the guy. No doubt the perp is a jerk, but the cop baited him until he disturbed the peace.
