One thing you will learn quickly is that nothing is free or inexpensive at BC. It’s the most expensive place to ski in this hemisphere.

Just pony up for the ski school for the little one. She'll get to learn the basics and play with other kids there. The little ones always look like they're having a great time. Once she's got a little skill, you'll be able to ski with her just fine.

And of course, you'll be able to ski what you want until then.

Going to Vail/Beaver Creek ain't cheap to begin with, so just pay the little extra to get the most enjoyment out of it.

It’s a sport for affluent people - Summit and Eagle county have figured that out all too well.

Just put her on a double black diamond run and let her learn the hard way.

If she doesn’t learn to deal with adversity at a young age she will end up being another useless snowflake SJW

Not much is more humbling than seeing a 4 - 6 year old zoom by you on the slopes, not even using any ski poles.

Kids 4 and under ski free at all Vail owned resorts.

I would opt for the lessons though. The thought of skiing bunny slopes all day...
