Most ironic is that they got the President of the System fired for, among other things, being unable to define systematic oppression when this video seems to indicate that neither can they as they dodge around the phrase. Also love that the black president doesn't understand that he is a glowing example of how there isn't, in fact, systematic or institutional oppression.

Reminds me of how Glen Beck said he would pay anyone $100,000 for video evidence of all the racial epithets hurled at the democrat congressmen from bystanders when they were marching up Capital Hill to go pass Obamacare.
The democrat congressmen and senators all claimed it happened, the media ran stories saying it happened, but no one had any evidence at all.

The good news is the School of Journalism called them out on this BS this morning...their Dean spent the last 20 or so years at LSU before going to MU this summer.

The Missouri School of Journalism is proud of photojournalism senior Tim Tai for how he handled himself during a protest on Carnahan Quad on the University of Missouri campus.
University of Missouri System President Tim Wolfe and University of Missouri-Columbia Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin both resigned on Nov. 9 after complaints and protests of their leadership. Tai was covering the event as a freelancer for ESPN when protesters blocked his access through physical and verbal intimidation.
The news media have First Amendment rights to cover public events. Tai handled himself professionally and with poise.
Also, for clarification, Assistant Professor Melissa Click, featured in several videos confronting journalists, is not a faculty member in the Missouri School of Journalism.
She is a member of the MU Department of Communication in the College of Arts and Science. In that capacity she holds a courtesy appointment with the School of Journalism. Journalism School faculty members are taking immediate action to review that appointment.
The events of Nov. 9 have raised numerous issues regarding the boundaries of the First Amendment. Although the attention on journalists has shifted the focus from the news of the day, it provides an opportunity to educate students and citizens about the role of a free press.

All the Mizzou greek orgs came out in support of her, including IFC. Maybe she's a legit person most of the time, but given her display I just can't see how.
FWIW, you go to the IFC twitter account and there is support for her and some comment that seems to imply they support the protestors. How fricking embarrassing would it be to be in a normal fraternity at Mizzou right now? Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't imagine their big fraternities are that lefty.

While the school is in the SEC and the state is in the midwest, I'd wager that the majority of its student body comes from KC, St. Louis, Chicago, etc. where its highly left leaning.

I'm glad my kids are still a few years away from being college age. There is a chance the University can pull its shite together in time. If not, I won't pay for them to attend a school where people like Click and Basler are employed, and where the inmates are running the asylum.

Eh, I would think a lot of kids, especially fraternity guys, come from upper-middle pockets that often tend red. I could be wrong, I just would assume that group (IFC) would be one of the more conservative on campus.

Your rich in these areas are a lot different than your rich in Houston, Dallas, Birmingham, Atlanta, etc.

I know some pretty wealthy people from the northeast, and one from Chicago, and they are all very solid Democrats, some leaning towards socialists
