So i’m about to be divorced and I have kids. They are my life and I love spending time with them more than anything else I do.

Trying to decide my priorities moving forward and the kids are #1 no question. I’ll have to buy a new house and put up $$$ for tuition, which will take up almost 1/3 of my monthly take home.

Financially, what the frick should I focus on out of:

1. Counseling so i don’t go fricking crazy
2. Hookers and cocaine to keep the juices flowing
3. Hookers and cocaine so I don’t go fricking crazy
4. Saving extra bucks where I can for unexpected household expenses on a single income
5. Strippers and blow for entertainment purposes

Any single dads out there with tips?

TIA

Counseling is covered by insurance usually. Hookers will sometimes work for blow. So just buy blow, man.

Move to a state that doesn’t require you to fork out tens of thousands to put your kid in a decent school.

Louisiana demographics are the worst.

Focus on balance. Kids come first but don’t forget yourself.

Well i’d like to stay close to the kids and i have kind of a legit job here in BR. Guess after the dust settles in a few years if i get used to a new normal then i’d consider it. But i’m not moving away from the kids unless necessary for some reason

Yeah they shackle you in place, but make the best of it. Don’t talk bad about their mom around them, ever, even if she does about you. Keep doing Dad stuff with them. Meet single girls and live life.

That’s some pretty level headed advice. I try to keep that in mind but for years i’ve put so much energy into being their dad and putting them first that i don’t even know what to do with free time anymore

Take your kids to the Park. Or out to do stuff.

You won’t need the hookers and blow.

You’ll have single moms and a Disney movie on real loud

Things I can no longer afford for $100 Alex.

Move into the cheapest place you can find because all your money will be going to your ex wife and kids expenses.

Probably. Guess there’s a reason for everything and I didn’t care enough about her feelings

I put the kids first and foremost and let everyday stress get the better of me to where i just didn’t pay enough attention to her.
