Me either. They suck.

Agreed.

This makes me sad. I've done the opposite. My wife and I try to go to a local restaurant at least once a week.

Lol - I figured as much

Strep is easily treatable - so I don’t put it on par with viral infections - although it’s pretty contagious

You're free to do that. I have solid reasons for not doing so. I do order from local restaurants. Everyone wins.

If that is accurate and things are as regulated as they are, do you really think that number would be the same if you had your way?
Umm, lockdowns dont help the survival rate of the virus

Do you have the right to knowingly spread HIV?

The virus is spread by contact. Reduce contact and reduce the spread. Reduce the spread and reduce death rate.

These are indisputable

How would you enforce quarantine? Like the war on drugs? Like the ban on felons possessing guns?
Fact is, there are sorry mf'ers with covid who don't care that they are spreading it.

Not sure you realize it but that graph actually proves that mask mandates work.

Simple question for you- if you had covid, would you wear a mask?

I think shitty cloth masks and government mandates that only apply to some people isn't doing shite. I think this virus is mostly harmless. I think the government overreaction is apparent, and that there are all too many lemmings willing to do whatever Nanny government tells them. I think there has been no consistency on any message from the CDC and absolutely no common sense for any mandates by our government officials.

I think that you have states like Florida that are wide open that are not seeing nearly as great an increase as other states with more restrictive lockdowns. I think you have countries that are full on draconian in there lockdowns that are spiking.

I think that if you keep ignoring this everytime it's posted, it's because you don't know how to argue against it, and you're too dug in on "Covid will kill everyone!!!" I also think your likely a liberal.

I’m an anti-abortion, gun toting Republican, basing the decision not to argue with you solely on the amount of sheer ignorance in the above rant.

I am not convinced the masks work.

I was exposed to Covid in March at home by a senior care worker. I didn't get tested. I had 100.5 fever only at night and a headache from Hell. This lasted 5 or 6 days. In late May I went to the doctor for unrelated reasons and while I was there, requested a Covid antibody test. It came back + for antibodies.

My brother is an M.D. who wears glasses, face shields and full PPE. He got Covid in September, had a hospital stay and 20 days of quarantine. His urgent care facility sees 100+ patients a day.

Yesterday, December 18th, I went to the doctor for a follow up and requested a second antibody test. It came back negative.

So the antibodies don't stay around. I assume that means that I can catch Covid again. I have gone out to eat, had hair appointments and doctor visits, grocery shopping, and other normal every day activities.

I don't know what my point is except that you can be anywhere and get exposed or not, masked or not.

My brother is 6 years older than me, active, plays tennis, etc. I am more sedentary, yet he is the one who had a worse case of the virus.

Makes you wonder why the virus affects people in different ways. I know this didn't answer your question.

I wonder how long it will take the scientists to figure things out...

Great thread. Now do smoking, drinking, and being a fatty. All those have adverse effects on society.

To the original point, we’re talking about people who are covid positive.
There is technology that traces people so if a person tests positive they can be traced.
Furthermore, require a positive tested person to quarantine. If they refuse, subject them to a penalty

Serious question. Are you retarded?

That graph shows that mask mandates are pointless.
