You don't have much precedent to back you up.

History is littered with backup. How many conflicts could've been avoided if both/either side had behaved rationally? From bar fights to wars, its happened many times.

A lot of people on here can't understand this concept.

If Sterling would have just acted rationally instead of resisting arrest and fighting with the cops a lot of things in Baton Rouge would have been different over the last year.

Specifically, in these situations when has the side supporting order behaved irrationally?

Name one of those "reactions to their fear" that "can be dangerous and cause just as many problems as those they're afraid of." I'd love to hear how you think folks worried about unrestrained rioting, looting, and false narrative pushing are an equal threat to this behavior.

I'm not trying to be condescending Moss but my point is supported by common sense if you think about it.

You guys are free to react to all of this however you want. I just wanted to point out what is truly driving this behavior since a lot of posters are acting all billy badass to cover it.

Actually, your "point," which I'm yet to fully discern, is completely unsupported by you, here in this thread.

No, it isn't.

Your position is that those who are concerned about violence and looting by a group whose past behavior to this exact matter was violence and lawlessness is just as culpable as the former for showing concern.

Did I miss something? Or was the point of the OP about some person called "Silky Slim" that this WBRZ never takes a moment to explain to us who the hell that is?

You already know [the decision is not] going to be favorable,” Silky Slim told network reporters in an interview where he said he'd already seen “busloads” of officers eating around town. "That don't look promising when they come in like that," he said.

So is he saying the cops are only here because they know black people will riot? He certainly does not seem to be saying the Asians, Whites and Latinos will riot if it does not go their way.

Gotcha.

Is Silky Slim somebody? Is he the Great Guru of Knowledge? Is he educated in Sociology and published? Does he give speeches to full arenas of cheering, adoring fans?

Why is his opinion valuable enough to be published? What gives his thoughts more credence than a kid cleaning tables at The Chicken Shack?
