Yeah I googled it and couldn’t find an at least a semi-nontechnical definition. I figured it was something like this from context. I depend on these threads to educate me. Thanks guys.

That storm south of Reklaw looks like it's trying but the main line may catch it

Yeah, it has been ramping up since it was back in Crockett, but will probably run out of time. It could cause some problems within the line, but the high end should be limited.

Stay safe everyone and heed warnings! The only time I took shelter in OK, the twister jumped me. Mother Nature is a scary bitch!!

family in Ben Lomond AR did fine. Appeared to hit just a bit NW of them.
Lost directTV signal well before the storm so they were listening to their NOAA weather radio!
good reminder of how critical those can be especially for the elderly!

It makes me happy to hear this. Everyone should have a real weather radio.

Might have had a brief spin-up NW of Ringgold. Still warned.
ETA: There are several little kinks in the line now that could cause problems.

Just keep a way to get a warning, Peej. These won't be like they were in TX if they put one down.

Yes I’m holding breath on those (while I pace the floor) waiting for these to get past me. I’d actually dozed off a few seconds til my phone went off with that warning. KTBS said it has been cancelled for now.
