Looks like we have a CC drop on the storm near Marietta and Daingerfield. This one will eventually move toward Texarkana.

What sucks is we have to wait for everything coming from the South to come into the SHV radar range. Any cells that can develop down there will be in the clear. The last two to develope are now tornado warned.

Watch the one coming out of Crockett, too. It is in a radar hole, but is in a good spot.

The front is closing in fast with NW winds in Van, TX now. It's going to be a close call for SHV but hopefully, the front overruns those cells before they can get into densely populated areas of NW LA.

Of all the money that’s wasted in this country, there should be zero radar holes.

I say this every time something comes into SW Alabama.

The rotation on the storm moving toward Texarkana has weakened, thankfully.

BWER means rotation? I’m not familiar with the term, though I don’t know how I’ve ever missed it, as much as a pore over technical forecasts that go about 50% over my head.

quote:

Abbreviation for Bounded Weak Echo Region;
a radar signature within a thunderstorm characterized by a local minimum in radar reflectivity at low levels which extends upward into, and is surrounded by, higher reflectivities aloft. This feature is associated with a strong updraft and is almost always found in the inflow region of a thunderstorm. It cannot be seen visually.

Also known as a donut hole. It will be a "hole" in Reflectivity that correlates with the couplet on Velocity.
