It's all been downhill since Ben Wynn. His death had effects nationwide. My fraternity had abbreviated it to 72 hours many years ago. Works fine. You just have to be willing to get rid of people as needed.

It started a few years before. IMO a combination of the PC movement and risk management by Nationals following lawsuits from the crazy 80s.
But Wynn's death definitely kicked it into high gear.
