All right, ladies. I’m here to talk about giving up the Devil’s lettuce and the subsequent things that happen in the brain. I figure the night squad will have better guidance.

I have been a chronic user for over two decades. I got to the point where I was ripping through 1.5-2oz weekly. I realize this is absolutely ridiculous, but I wasn’t even getting high toward the end, which is what led me to quitting a few weeks back. Before you cast judgement, realize that I am very successful, well compensated, and career driven. I have worked for a major multinational corporation for many years, smoked joints all day every day at work, and performed at a high level.

Since quitting, which was hard for about 3 days, I have moved on and have no desire to smoke. That said, I am having intense, vivid dreams. Weird shite from murdering people I know to having my high school basketball coach walking into a cocktail party at my house with a dime piece, to being in the theater when Lincoln was assassinated. I’m waiting for this board to find it’s way into my sleep.

I find myself having troubles focusing, whereas I used to be able to smoke a joint on a conference call and lock in, and for all my life, I have slept through the night, but now I find myself waking up several times to snap back to reality.

For those with experience, how long is this going to continue? We talking months of this or weeks?

I remember having vivid dreams every night for a couple weeks and it tapering off for a another month or two.

It’s very common and gets better.

Nah. Nowhere near. I handle complex matters for some of the largest companies in the country. I have a strong mental acumen, just liked smoking herb. It’s not like these effects are ruining me, just an obvious change and system shock. I’ve never been a big dreamer, now I have them when I nap.

McDonalds is a multinational corporation, and we are all very proud of you making manager, but does it irk you that burger flippers are now making $15/hr while you are only pulling $22/hr even though you’ve put in the time and you make the schedule?

Did you dream at all when you were smoking? I mean, actually remember dreams, because they say you always dream you just may not remember them.

It ramped up a lot during Covid. I was probably between a quarter and a half for years and in the last year started buying in bulk, and ya smoke em if ya got em.

Might seem counter intuitive but micro dosing shrooms while your body gets back to normal might help. I am going on 1 week being THC free after smoking more or less daily for 9 years so you are not alone.

I quit a couple times. I had vivid and crazy dreams but nothing on that level. I didn’t smoke nearly as much as you did though. I’m thinking a week tops but probably more around 3-4 nights.

Just curious....what job do you have that allows you to smoke weed all day at work?

Not dreams I recalled. And never in my life have I had dreams this vivid and detailed.

Lol. I bet you are high right now with that.

You probably work at a pet store.

I have read stories of people having intense dreams for 2 months or so. Taking detox teas and exercising a lot could help with the dreams. Once it is completely out of your system you should be clear of it all.

I had this problem in WA. shite was way too convenient. I recently moved to an area where the closest legal weed spot is an hour away so now I just buy a 1/4 a week. Modern problems. A modern solution.

Pretty sure marijuana actually makes you not dream if you go to bed high. I remember when I was smoking I would not dream or at least remember my dreams but if I woke up in the middle of the night and then go back to sleep that is when my dreams would be the most intense.

You’ve been suppressing those dreams by using THC. The rest of us have those dreams every day of our lives.
