Such a dick move. Why would want to cause others to have to risk taking off work because you got them sick?

I'm touching every door handle, people's mouses when they get up from their desk, keyboards, the refrigerator door, really anything someone else might touch. Oh and I don't cover my mouth when I cough. Gotta make sure I get a good spread with each cough.

If you have enough sick leave, stay home
Some people might not have enough sick leave though

That's the attitude I take with my son and daycare.

He got it from some kid there. They are all already infected anyway.

But why?

I'm with the OP on this. I'm not wasting PTO sitting home sick. If I can do that on someone elses dime, I'm doing it.

So that means you don't have designated sick days and you can't work from home.

poo job is poo

Exactly. Can rack up unlimited sick hours and they are separate from regular vacation hours.

I'm sick and I showed up to work today. I hope I get everyone else sick so they have to go through what i'm going through now. I do not feel bad one bit. I'm pretty sure I got it from someone else in the office. I refuse to take PTO.

if your company has a policy where you get "unlimited" sick time, then you should stay home. if your company is a dick and only gives you 40 hours a year of sick, then by all means show up. My previous company did that so I sure as hell wasn't burning a precious sick day if I had a cold when I have two young kids that can get sick at any time.

Does your plant not separate vacation days and sick days?

I can complete my job tasks no problem. I've taken enough Excedrin with caffeine to put down a baby elephant. But if you're going to get me sick, I hope and pray that whatever I have finds my way back into your system and royal fricks you.

You're trolling. But that's a fire-able offense

Where I work, you can't tap into your sick hours until you've exhausted your pto and i work in a hospital. You're completely disincentivised from taking sick days and that's just how they want it.

My company doesn't and I like it. I don't get sick often so it's usually all vacation for me. I can work from home too so unless I'm bed ridden I rarely take a sick day.

I"m sorry I thought this was America. What part is fireable? touching door handles to walk through doors? checking someones computer to make sure they didn't get important emails while they are away from their desk. You sir, deserve to be infected.

Well then by all means show up sick. I would do the same in your shoes. I don't get sick all that often, so most of my sick days go to kids being sick or myself being "sick".

I hope you come into burger queen today to get your double McWhopper and I get you sick. I'd like to watch you try to prosecute me.

You are a piece of shite. We had 200 people out the last few weeks with the flu because a couple of wannabe badasses wanted to come to work sick and prove how tough they are. I don't get sick so I wasn't in that group but they tell us if you're sick stay home. Rather have a couple people out now than contaminate half the plant because you're an a-hole and won't just take a couple days off. Congrats on being a dick, dick.

Usually if I don’t show up we don’t open (depending on where I’m working). So... I work sick sometimes. Sucks but there’s not always another option.
