SIAP: Why stockplie ammo? I have several mags of 5.56 and 50 rounds of 9mm and .45

Why do people need so much ammo in the world we live in?
If I have to shoot one person then my life changes drastically, and I probably don't need the other rounds.
Do people really think we will get to a point that shooting multiple people on multiple different occasions may be necessary? If so, why are they waiting till the last minute to buy ammo?
IMO, it's 10x dumber than stocking up on toilet paper.

let's say there's a collapse some day. extra rounds will make a great commodity to trade. Our society will collapse some day. might be 100 years or 300 years or 5 years. We will also lose the right to own guns some day, but I'd rather take a chance having plenty of guns and ammo than having only a small amount.

I normally keep about 300 bottles of wine on hand so I’m good for two weeks if needed

Don’t get it either. Pisses me off when my wife and I want to go shoot. I never think ahead...
For the 9mm Glocks, I do always keep at least two full magazines. Please, even if you use them, do not misrepresent clips for magazines.

I can go through 300 rounds at the range in 1 day. 3 trips and you're through 1,000 rounds, goes quick.
