Wat? He made like 15 appearances over 3 seasons. Was mainly on the minor leagues. No way he made 1,000,000 From MLB salary.

most of the young'n's on here seem to think that any person that has ever even put on a uniform as a professional athlete is immediately a gazillionaire for life

Their house is quite a bit larger than any dream home not to mention it's on some acreage

Yea pretty sure they purchased the Dr Rhodes ranch outside of Sulphur. Fine place with two lakes. One 50 acres and one 40m acres lake. I used to go there when Rhodes owned it.

His signing bonus alone was $1.3 million out of high school

Signing Bonus$1,300,000

He was a huge prospect that didn't pan out.

and would be willing to bet that the, probably 55-60%, if that, he netted, is long gone

Doesn't matter. His family is well off. Good people too.

Daigle Oil Company and L M Daigle Oil Distributors

Their bookkeeper did steal $ 4million from the years back, though.

Okay. So she bought tickets, they pulled her name.. What's the problem? Is she not supposed to win?

"Celeb" would be pushing it, IMO.

'Course everybody gets their 15 minutes, I guess.

She was actually pretty visible on ESPN and elsewhere about 15 years ago. She was on a show where she'd pitch to quite a few MLB players like this challenge for men to hit her pitches. She struck out quite a few big name major league pros. I recall the pro players saying at the shorter regulation softball mound distance, the ball arrived quicker than any 100mph fastball they'd faced.... and seemed genuinely overwhelmed. She's also a somewhat formidible athlete in size / physique. In professional dress clothes and average hi-heel shoes stands over 6'4"

I said MLB Salary. Lots of high schoolers get those types of bonuses and never pan out.

I saw a few of those, she was pitching to guys old enough to be her grandfather who had probably been drinking all day and absolutely DGAF, where it appeared that she was bringing what she thought was the heat, I do remember one time she was pitching to some old timer and he was yucking it up and she was trying to talk smack with him, first pitch was a ball, second pitch she threw what I'm sure she though was her money pitch, old dude's expression went from yucking it up to game face, next pitch he jacked out of the park, did a bat flip, and didn't even bother running

You would be wrong there too. He had several salary years of $300K+ with the Diamondbacks alone which was when he was in the middle of his career. You can search for his salary on several sites and see he earned over a million in salary playing.

In the early 2000s she was to softball what Megan Rapinoe is to women's soccer. She has a olympic gold medal.

She might not be a household name, but anyone who followed sports, in general, during her time knows who she is.

In the minor leagues.

He was only on the roster of an mlb team 3 years. He made 10 starts for the DBacks HIS first year in 2005, AA for 2005, and 10 more starts in 2006. No way me took home $900k in those three years.

Team Salary
2004 Arizona Diamondbacks $300,000.00
2006 Arizona Diamondbacks $327,000.00

I would bet he is over $1 Mill in salary in total or at the very least close to it

Never said there was a problem, just thought it was rather cool as I would have never expected her to be associated with anything happening in shreveport
