No you fricking idiot.

However, if your neighbor is enraged and is beating on your door and you believe he is attempting entry in order to do you harm... YES YOU CAN SHOOT HIM as per LA R.S. 14:20

You said this guy reached in the car, lot different from tapping on the window.

Who gave you permission to change him beating on the window to tapping?

indicted for the second-degree murder with a firearm of Russell Ricou.

Thanks you proved my point. He was charged with murder. If it was self defense, he would have only been charged with poss of firearm by convicted felon.

I’m happy to give you this education that is very much needed today.

I posted the entire fricking statute... read it and tell me where it says the person has to be armed.

Beating tapping, did the window break? No by the looks of pics.

The ones arguing against have used "knocking" and "tapping" which is completely disingenuous.

A road rager doesn't follow you, get out, and gently tap on your window.

Once again... read the statute. You do not have to allow them to make entry before defending yourself.

Then tell me why was the guy arrested and charged with murder in New Orleans?

Think most of you are just not educated. There was a thread on that guy and most people thought the dude was justified in shooting him. I told everyone he was going to be arrested and charged with murder to a load of downvotes. And sure enough, he was arrested for murder.

I witnessed a guy shoot an unarmed man in Orange Beach one year and he never went to jail. Guy got out of his car and approached another car and actually started to reach into the car to hit the driver. Driver shot him dead. Jury trial not guilty.

Yes, he breached the vehicle. Breach a vehicle or home and you can kill them even if they aren’t armed. This guy didn’t breach the man’s vehicle, according to the article he was banging on the window imploring the man to get out of the car.

No I’m 100% right. You can’t just shoot unarmed people outside your car b/c you are scared.

They will probably plea him out to a lesser charge, but at worse he gets manslaughter.

Which case are you talking about bc you're all over the place?

If you're talking about the guy in the OP he was arrested bc that's what usually happens when you shoot someone.

Then the police go through the evidence and if they determine the shooting was justified you are released.

ARRESTED =/= CHARGED

You post an outright lie and call someone else disingenuous? Sounds about right.

I don't think that it did, nor did I suggest that it did. Now I have answered you question, so answer mine.
