Shreveport Police Chief appointment

The appointment for Shreveport Police chief is a shite show.
The 3 candidates submitted by the advisory board includes the 2 lowest grades and the 3rd highest.
Absent is the Interim Chief who scored the highest and has been running the department for almost a year. Shreveport is about to go even further down the drain.

I haven’t kept up with this, but is it similar to the BRPD police chief “search”?
If so, God help anyone in Shreveport that wishes to live in a civilized society. The Murphy Paul era has not been a good time for BRPD.

Well you have City councilmen and a sitting sheriff disagreeing with the boards recommendation and this morning the local news radio didnt seem happy with the advisory boards recommendation either.

I actually know and worked with Ben some years back and he is a great dude who is dedicated to his job. Real professional who has the proper background to run the department.
In other words, totally unsuited to be Chief since that is a job for a political hack with certain (ahem) qualifications that Ben clearly lacks.
