Wow. I’m having it on Thursday on my left shoulder.
Had everything you are having back in 2016 on the right side. I’m not gonna lie. It was the worst month of my life (pain, sling, sleeping in a recliner), but I am so glad I did it. Left one isn’t as bad, and I don’t have to deal with my dominant arm being shut down.
You’ll be fine.

Good luck on your surgery. Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery!

I have not but a friend had heart surgery and shoulder surgery within about two years of one another and he said he would take the heart surgery multiple times over the shoulder surgery. Said he could never find a comfortable position to keep his shoulder from hurting. That’s all I got.

Had a rotater cuff rebuild, hard to get comfortable for a while, the meds kept the pain down.
Get a bidet installed before the surgery.

Had my left repaired 5 days ago. Mark Field in BR did it (and he did my right one in 2010). The most important advice in here is the nerve block. Trust me. I didn't have it for my first one and had it for this one. Night and freakin' day difference.
In 2010 I was fully recovered in 5 months, which is a month ahead of normal recovery time. Never went to a PT but I really pushed my home exercises. Not till it really hurt but definitely to uncomfortable levels. I'm doing the same thing for my left.
Don't skip them. Good luck.
