I think the larger context about the views towards transexuality is more of the concern, honestly. The bathroom thing isn't important in and of itself, but the reasoning behind it is.

There is a person at my work that is switching from female to male. This person has HR approval to use either restroom basically, and a bunch of people are pretty uncomfortable with it from what I understand. (She works in a different building)
I don't really think I would care, but it is a pretty hot button issue for many around her and I'm sure HR is hoping she gets an employment offer elsewhere

I accidentally used the women's bathroom at the surly brewery in Minneapolis one time. It was after a few high octane ipas. I really had to go and there were no doors on the entry. I just walked....noticed it was empty so went in a stall...could hear footsteps and eventually a female voice...the hardest part was deciding when to make a break for it to leave. I don't ever want to be in that spot again.

One of the first part time jobs I ever had was working part time in a community center, and obviously I had to do some light janitorial duties as well. Lemme tell you womens' restrooms are FAR WORSE than mens.

I dont care. Worked at a hospital in south arkansas. using the urinal one morning when a older lady came in mopping. I didnt really think much of it till I saw the mop head wiping between my feet....... I looked around and she said, "dont worry bout it honey, you aint got nothing I havent seen before".
