Have a car (any type of private car) with a radar gun.
guess they take license pics and send out tickets. would have to work
with the local police?
car, truck, suv always sits on the south side of town

I’ve had a few tickets in Forest Hill over the years. One of the worst speed traps in LA.

With Waze and a decent radar detector, I don't think you have anything to fear. It's legal, at least in LA, so suck it up. It's going to happen. Texas passed a law a while ago that a municipality couldn't drop a speed limit by more than a certain amount (no 70 to 40, etc.) but LA can't risk pissing off Winnfield deputies I guess.
There are so many speed boys (or whatever they call the assholes with Chargers, Challengers, and exhausts) and bikers on I-10. Every, single, f-ing time, I would drive from Spring Branch to Katy after dark, there were multiple people on the road with no lights on. Never saw one pulled over. I am a Top Gear sort of driver, and when you blow by me, you're a bit above the speed limit.

I got stopped for having to many lights on the front of my truck. Cop said it wasn’t foggy enough to be running my light bars in my bumper. I use them at night to project out to the side to see deer.
Yes it’s illegal to have more than your dims or brights on unless it incremental weather but really geesh
Is incremental weather worse than inclement weather?

Forest Hill
The fact this shite exists and is so well-known, says a lot about this State.
There are plenty of other places that do this, Golden Meadow, etc.
Law enforcement?
??

Cops don't have to write a ticket
If the community and elected leaders tell the police force that they are concerned about speeders and safety and demand that speeding laws be enforced, then yes they do.

ticket to someone going 36 in a 35
Please, quit being a drama queen.
