Yes the U.S. should shoot it down if possible. We have a Navy base and ships there.

Not to mention that Guam is a territory and its people are AMERICAN CITIZENS. People seem to be forgetting this huge point.

You and the guy who tweeted this are misconstruing the original tweet. NK's supposed plan released yesterday is to fire a test in the direction of Guam to show that they can strike Guam if they choose to. Look at the wording of the AP tweet, notice that it uses the word "toward" instead of "at".

Reading comprehension is hard eh?

That still leaves the 2 million North Korean soldiers that can over run the border.

How do you kill them short of nuclear bombs.....

We are just supposed to guess that they are tipped with confetti.

Why dont we invite him to Guam to watch his missles land in the sea if they are not going to kill anyone.

So you would be "ok" with it if a crazy person held a real gun to your head and told you they wanted to pull the trigger.

But dont worry its not loaded.... honest...

Bombs, bullets, artillery, we could set a few of them on fire... long list really.

This is stupid. Guam is a US territory. Attacking Guam would be no different than attacking LA or Dallas or Washington.

Nah, let's let ICBMs strike a US Territory.

Literally fake news.

Does anyone else feel like the Fat midget just recently noticed on a map that Guam was a US territory?

North Korea has been sending missiles toward Japan and no one has done anything.

If they launch a missile towards Guam with no intention on hitting Guam and we choose to shoot down that missile, we reveal some of our defense technology to the world. Whether or not we choose to show our hand because of North Korea is worth thinking about.

Our missile defense is assumed to be very strong, but no one has really tested it. Imagine if we attempted to shoot down all of these test missiles but could only shoot down 9/10 or 8/10. We would show that we're not perfect and that's not a good hand to show.

We have a couple of minutes to figure out where it's going.

Irrelevant. Guam is still a U.S. territory, home to U.S. citizens and U.S. military assets. If the U.S. views any launch towards Guam as offensive, then the U.S. will respond accordingly. Not sure why anyone doubts this.

I'm more in favor actually treating the territorial citizens similar to those of Dallas, etc which is obviously not the case.

But they're alien races and all...
