Change the name fighting tigers too. Named after a bunch of racist confederates. I'm sure you wouldn't mind that either
No liberal/progressive a-hole told him he should be offended by it yet, plus he had no idea. Currently over on DU and Kos looking for talking points.

I'm not sure why so many of you think LSU banned the flag; lots of drugs, revisionist history?

LSU didn't ban it, but asked that it not be flown. Read the Sean O'Keefe press release posted a page or two back.
As to football players voicing their opinion, I believe Rahim Alem was vocal about it. There were others who were quoted in the media as well.

I have serious doubts any of those "student athletes" would willingly give up their opportunity to impress NFL scouts over such a trivial issue.
But I guess I could be wrong.
Grambling (4), Morgan State(4) , Jackson State (3) are just a few of the college who have more NFL hof'ers than LSU,
Are you under the delusion that Leonard Fournette or Odell Beckham need Les Miles or LSU to get into the NFL?

I think the jist is that it is not welcome or supported on campus.

The average black American should not associate any sense of pride with the Democrat party of the 20th century.
Democrats kept your ancestors poor and uneducated while they lived opulent lifestyles, then tricked and coerced your ancestors to vote for causes that didn't benefit them before or after implementing their ideology.

So, it's a words are hard kinda thing?
It's funny when those people call others ignorant.

It's a "this issue was settled ten years ago" kinda thing. Most people who would fly that flag really don't care about respecting the wishes of others though.

No, but they do need to play. And that is what that poster was talking about: players refusing to play over the flag.

I always find it interesting that liberals insist on tolerance, but when the opinion is not in line with theirs, they get intolerant. Almost like a two year old shitting their diaper, jumping up and down on their baby bottle, and screaming when the world doesn't revolve around them.
The same amendment that gives folks the right to preach their views on tolerance (and related blather) is also the amendment that gives one the right to the Purple and Gold Stars and Bars. Regardless of what you do, someone is going to be offended. Life goes one.

What if the football players decide not to suit up if the flag flies on campus ??
Simple, don't renew their scholarships.

So people playing loose with the meaning of "not condoning" and "banning" is understandable but this needs correcting?

I always get a kick out of people that call it this. And it's usually followed by a long paragraph or explanation about what the flag means.

Wait what? LSU is the only school that they will be allowed to play if they leave(threaten to leave )?
Can't go to a FCS( 1-AA school ) & not even miss a season/snap?
You're acting if most of these kids need LSU or particular coach to make it to the NFL.
They don't.

What exactly are you arguing? Black players are not going to stop coming to LSU, because pretending to be outraged over something that has literally no effect on their lives isn't on their agenda like a lot of you. Get over it, deal with it, whatever you have to do.
Or keep arguing a straw man and look dumb.
