Yes, up to and including 2a. If you wouldn’t trust them with a firearm then they shouldn’t be out.

A violent felon once released will likely get their hands on them anyway if they want one, hence why they should not be released.

Yes. They served their time and should exit after serving their time with the same rights afforded to everyone else. The exception obviously would be if they weren't citizens to begin with.

Please be specific on what felonious offenses? Many posters are college educated here, served in the military, know right from wrong and have never committed a felony whatsoever.

Hell, even DWI was considered to be an egregious offense while serving on active duty and would lead to dire consequences, at least when I was in.

Have you ever consumed an illegal narcotic without a prescription, other than marijuana, even once in your life? Have you ever "borrowed" someone's prescription for a controlled substance, including a family member, because it was late and you couldn't get to a doctor until the next day? Allowed someone, including a child or family member, to use one of your left over prescriptions for the same reason? Have you ever not reported a single dollar from an online purchase over the years and therefore not paid the mandated sales tax?

Those are a few of the super easy ones. I've never met someone who could answer no to every single one. If you can, I'll list off another half dozen or so down the line.

Unless they're repeat offenders they should. Their record should also be cleared after paying their debt. Exceptions should probably be made for sex crimes or violent crimes

Perhaps restored after serving their full sentences (no parole or probation) and after having paid full restitution to their victims if applicable. They should not have their record cleared, businesses and the public need to know who they are dealing with.

No

No

Sales tax was recently passed several years ago in my state on Amazon purchases. Never purchased anything from a private seller for a large monetary sum.

And for the decade+ before online retailers started collecting sales tax?

What’s your angle on the online sales tax?

Yes, but most crimes of violence should have lengthier sentences and no parole. If a person is free to roam around, they should have the right to arm themselves for protection. Guns don’t kill people. Laws don’t prevent people from having guns

Felony tax evasion. Practically every return you’ve filed for the last couple of decades asked you to report additional sales tax liability for out of state or online purchases.

Instead of using prison as a punishment alone, we should be trying to educate them and prevent them from committing future crimes.
This is so naive. They don't give a frick about groups or classes. They'll tell you what you want to hear but they won't change.

They already do. When you get off probation or parole you get voting rights back and if it’s non violent state offense you can get your gun rights back after something like 7 years. Don’t think tat applies to federal offenses though

It's 10 years but you got it mostly right.

Some of you really don't think I deserve to vote muchless carry a gun?

Well hate to break it to you idiots but, 28 yrs later, I can legally conceal carry a firearm and I can vote Republican.

Too bad you’re too much of a pussy to use a gun and your vote doesn’t matter.

You’re just as useless as SuperTaint

You motherfricker. That's where I draw the line meanie pants. He's a relapsing addict and liberal fricktard. I'm a good member of society.

And I know your sister and she lives 2 miles away from me, albeit in a much nicer neighborhood. We both have kids at Dutchtown High and I'm going to introduce myself to her at the next event at school. Ima say I'm your Friend from the Internet and show her your Tigerdroppings profile and how mean you are to me.

Violent crime - NO.. Once you’ve deprived someone of their own civil liberty you forfeit your own.

Non-violent crime - Usually, yes.
