Fast food burgers were served that one time st the Whitehouse because it was during a government shutdown. The federal budget was not extended so all on essential federal employees were sent home. That included Whitehouse chefs and staff. There was no one available to prepare food for the team, so the fast food feast was put together, that is the only reason that was done.
