I understand some people would obviously get screwed over, maybe they could just get the money back that they paid into it. But it would absolutely save lives. If you have ever watched any true crime shows for more than 5 minutes, you know that this is the primary motivation or at least a contributing factor in almost every instance of someone murdering their spouse. Thoughts?

I think you need to go back to the drawing board with this thread.

So if a dad gets shot while changing his tire, the family left behind isn’t paid? Yeah, that’s a great idea.

Life insurance is already set up to not pay out to the individual who murdered the insured.

I think we should just take it away from democrats since they are more dishonest and violent than the other members of society

Those people need to watch Forensic Files first. They are quite thorough.

Right, of course they don’t get it if they are convicted, but the victim is still dead. In many cases the murder wouldn’t happen in the first place without the potential payout of the policy.

You should stop posting and cut your losses for the day. Life insurance companies pay when the insured is murdered, and rightly so.

My thoughts are that you are 100% wrong. Wrong that insurance policies shouldn't pay out for a murder victim, wrong that it would save lives, and wrong that it is a primary motive for someone murdering their spouse.

The person that does the killing doesn’t care about life. So they already don’t care about the family left behind. It’s the murder fault. Not the victims fault.
Btw when a spouse murder the other for the money that’s fraud. But no the victims family should not suffer because someone else doesn’t value a human life.

Want to know something that will really blow your mind... many policies cover suicide after two years.

Tell me how you really feel. Lol. I definitely disagree about it not being a primary motivation, shite half the time the person takes the policy out like a month before the murder happens.

They usually don't for a stated number of years two or five or whatever.

There are policy exclusions if the beneficiary is involved in the death of the insured.

Under your retarded theory, the family of the gas station clerk who was executed in Kenner yesterday gets nothing.

I have a life insurance policy on myself and I'm the beneficiary. All the money goes to a trust. The executor of that trust then cashes the money out in singles and puts it in my coffin. An auto generated email invites strippers to the funeral and we just see what happens.
