another victim

Unclear if he has passed or still in the hospital

In addition to coaching football, Feis worked as a security guard at the school for at least eight years and took his role protecting students very seriously, said Andrew Hofmann, a former student at the school who recently coached the swimming and water polo teams. ‘He’s very well dedicated to the safety of the school during the daytime,’ Hofmann said early in the evening, before Israel made his announcement. Hofmann described the coach as ‘a quiet person’ with a good sense of humor. ‘When there’s a funny joke he is always laughing for sure,’ he said

There are some real heroes in this horrible event. Peter Wang, coach Arron and I'm sure more.

I haven’t read through this whole thread and truthfully been trying to avoid the news and such.

We do a lot of active shooter training at schools. The new tactics can be very effective at stopping the shooting. frick! It’s such a terrible thing and having two kids in school I can’t help but think each time while training that in a real life event I may have to see unimaginable things. Best case scenario is seeing my kids alive and passing them up on my way to the shooter. Hate to imagine any other way.

Security in schools should be a priority but the moment a gunman steps foot on campus things have already gone to shite. I just wish there was a 100% effective way to detect it and stop it before it gets there.

Jesus there were at least 5-8 bodies in that video. In the classroom in the beginning, is there a body slouched over in a desk?

Seeing the cops just standing over dead bodies shows just how much shite those guys see on a daily basis. It was just another day on the job.

This pisses me off to no end. How are we as a society not protecting our most important commodity? Our children in this country should never have to be scared that they will be killed while in a school. I blame us, all of us!!

There is no direct answer to this unfortunately.

Everyone has a reason why this happens but we as a society have failed them. Period.

Yeah well you can go frick yourself. I haven’t done shite to your kid or anyone else’s. I doubt your kids are scared they’re gonna be killed anyway. Probably More scared they’re not gonna be cool or fit in.
The real fear you should have is what your kid is (or isn’t) learning in our shitty schools, not whether some fricktard will shoot up the place.
Oh and the shooter was once a member of the “most precious commodity”. How’d he turn out?

The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.
