I wouldn' be surprised if Florida cracks down on AR-15 sales in some manner, or at least tried to do so. The Orlando shooting was a Sig MCX firing 5.56 ammo too.

Nothing in the video made me think AR.

Unless there is new info I was gonna put my money on 9 or 40 hand gun.

, no. Gun shows are fine, but don't be ridiculous.

ETA - for clarity, I know it's legal to purchase guns that way, but I'm talking about the context Ed Osteen was using.

I can't solve that and give you a solid answer to that problem man. I'm just a fish in a big pond.

I know man. It sucks to just sit and watch this time and time again. Even in this thread, you have people name calling each other. You have multiple pro gun people talking shite to anti gun people and vice versa. Again, let's start by joining in on the fact that we are all against children being killed. Maybe that is a starting point. But again, this will just be used by both parties as a platform to push their political agenda. It's sickening.

Are our Northern Neighbors drenched in scenes of violence in almost every corner of entertainment?

Maybe I’m over simplifying it but if kids wouldn’t be so shitty to other kids then they might not dive somebody to do something like this. I don’t know the motive at all but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was something similar.

They have mental health issues in Canada too but they have only had one mass school shooting in that Country in the last 30 years. How about looking up to our Northern neighbors for the solution.

What specific policy would have stopped today's shooting?

I’m not sure why you are even arguing with me, the guy on tv was just saying that guns can be illegally purchased at gun shows, which isn’t an incorrect statement.

The 9mm in my truck was purchased for cash in a gun show parking lot

And you could have bought it in a Walmart parking lot just as easily

I bought a gun in a private sale online and met the seller at the city park lakes.

Apparently one of the media outlets reported it was an AR-15.

Buying guns illegally at gun shows is their dig.

Would be like instead of saying buying drugs illegally off the streets you pick a particular location each time you talk about it.

Yes you can. You can meet up with someone selling a gun on Craigslist and buy it for cash in a Walmart parking lot and it's 100% legal.

We can study these killers and learn to profile them. We can learn what the early signs to look for are.

The same thing they did with serial killers

Good luck with that. Wasn't there some shithead McDonalds employee in Florida recently that was randomly killing folk? He must have had an IQ of 200, to elude profiling and capture, eh?

Recently?

Someone interviewed earlier, a school admin I believe, said he was expelled last year and went to a different school.

A kid interviewed right after the shooting said he was in the Alternative High School with the shooter last year. Said the shooter was always talking about guns, showing him pics on his phone of guns. He tried to stay away from him because he thought the shooter was sketch.

Actually to answer your question,

We as humans arent learning from our mistakes.

History will continue to repeat itself if nothing is changed.

And Im not talking about taking away guns, this starts at home (put liability on parents), as that is going on, local governments need to do everything they can to ensure it doesn't happen to their community (be involved with children and the community). Federal govt needs to really dig into this too with using tax money (for grants) to ensure saftey at places like school.

It's a big part of the equation for sure.

People tend to blame the shooter's parents but look the other way when their precious angel acts like an a-hole to one of their peers.
