You are being ignorant. We average almost a mass shooting a day in this country and almost none are stopped by gun wielding. People like to think they'd miraculously become Jason Bourne in situations like this, and they never are.

This is crazy. I feel like last week I read about military bases being on high alert for this very issue.

Other than the MP's and local police, the base usually have a QRF (quick reaction force)team assigned to the base, which is just one of the unit's on base, which when alerted, gets to their unit, draws weapons and then goes out to location, to set up security and engage if need be, but usually you are only given 3 bullets
