This will become a big story. Accidental, victim is unborn, in Alabama(that's not meant in a mean way), but there's some evangelicals that will want the accidental shooter fried, and some left wing lunatics that will want no consequences at all. If I were the DA I'd just quit.

The local left wing Karens are already calling for him to be treated like someone who commits murder by abortion.

t's absolutely valid to lay some blame at the foot of Walk Ons. Maybe dont let your employees bring guns in the store, because terrible shite like this might happen.
Found a Harris voter.
Good lord the stupid just drips off of your kind, doesn't it?

Every American citizen should have to go through a concealed carry course before turning 18. That class absolutely hammered the responsibility one has when holding/carrying a gun and vividly describes the legal ramifications to firing it. I wasn’t a kid and never treated guns as toys, but that class gave me a significantly more somber view on handling guns, especially pistols.
I’m always surprised, but shouldn’t be, by how many people have never been around guns or taught the 4 Rules of Firearm Safety. My dad didn’t call it that, but safe handling of firearms was hammered into my and my brother’s brains before we were 10 years old. Of corse there are more than 4 rules but if you follow those it’s a good start.
I used to not support a mandatory firearm safety class before you could own or concealed carry a firearm. Seemed like a “infringement” to me. But it’s a different world than I grew up in and most kids have never been taught how to safely be around guns. It’s probably a good idea. I’d even put it in schools.

The Hoover of today isn't the Hoover of 20 years ago that's for sure

I lived in Vestavia for a little while many years ago, it was nice. At some point some relatives lived in Hoover and it was fine. But as you say, 20 years ago. Things change.

We just moved last year from Hoover to vestavia. Looking at schools for our kids and it was a no brainer.

So are they supposed to strip search their employees. Guess you are one that doesn't believe in personal responsibility. Only one yo blame is the idiot.

The comments about restaurant kitchens are absolutely valid. You will not find one that is 100% staffed by upstanding citizens.
That being said, this is the highway 280 part of Hoover. It's a nice area, but a jigsaw puzzle of jurisdictions.

No, they are supposed to have a manager there who "manages" situations like one employee showing off his gun to another employee.
I dont know what happened. It could have been totally no fault of Walk On's management. Or there could be (and i dont think im too far out on a limb here) some negligence on behalf of the kitchen staff.
Stop clutching your pearls at the idea of Walk Ons getting sued when a pregnant women gets shot by one of their dumbass employees. It is 99.99% gonna happen.

What if, and this is crazy but stick with me here...the manager wasnt in the kitchen during the one minute this occurred?

Kitchen workers often sell drugs. The business of selling drugs requires protection. Thus kitchen workers often carry firearms.

Are we sure this did not occur at a Red Lobstah? I just realized Walk-Ons and Red Lobstah have the same clientele.

I don't clutch pearls, but I'm sick of dumb fvcks like you advocating to sue everyone. People like you would be the first to scream about MGMT being all up in his business without cause and screaming that he should sue them.
