He was a lawyer, he had finished law school and had been admitted to the bar before he started teaching at Georgetown.
So some state readmitted him to the bar after a felony for armed robbery?

What law school hired a guy who can’t possibly be a lawyer?
He has the most important qualification, being a criminal

That was my question. How did he get through the character and fitness review with a felony?

My guess is that he had some high-level, well-known character references in the legal profession who gave him sterling recommendations.

I believe in forgiveness and redemption. It really looks like this guy turned his life around. He has done some vry bad things in the past obviously, but he has worked to right his wrongs, and contribute to society in a major way.
Kudos to him.

Because he totally didn't rehabilitate (which is perhaps the most important justification for putting people in prison), thereafter starting a successful career and putting his criminal life behind him.

Bank Robber = attorney
I'm sure this guy will be a televangelist or a pedophile next. He won't have far to fall.
