The shipper is getting it through customs, I just have to go pick it up when it's ready and get it to OKC.

hot shot
take whatever rec's the houston folks have for it. if you want to worry about absolutely nothing, call a logistics company. thatll likely cost a bit more though.
if you were going to have to get it cleared the logistics route would have been the only reasonable answer.

Rent a U-Haul truck or van and send Hose-A and Hose-B down there to pick it up and deliver to OKC.

How are you going to get it off loaded once it arrives at your house?
Also can your house accommodate a price of wood that big and is your driveway long enough for a truck with a flatbed trailer?

All things to seriously consider.

Barge it to Tulsa and then truck it to OKC.

He said it's about 4' long and weighs about 400 lbs. Two men who aren't pussies could pick the thing up and walk away with it.

Use both in my business, not cheap but it is a dedicated truck only carrying your shite. Estimated is $1700 to make the trip. Less if they can pick up something else on the way home. Paying for dead head driving sucks.

Hell, for 1K I would pick it up and bring it to OKC. I'm retired and don't have any better things to do.

use uship. i use them all the time, it will be the cheapest as it just forces all the trucking companies to bid on the work.

btw it should cost less than 250 which is prolly less than you would spend in gas.

UShip or an LTL company(Saia, Old Diminion, Etc) would probably be your best/cheapest option. Keep in mind whoever you send to get it will need a TWIC card to enter the Port of Houston. I've only done deliveries to the Port but you will likely also need to know what dock/terminal the shipment would be coming in to.

I was gonna say my wife gets wood for all our anniversaries.

Do you bring the wood deliverer in from Europe or do you shop locally?
