Man Down, a war thriller with Shia LaBeouf, grossed just £7 ($8.70) when it premiered in a single U.K. theater over the weekend, according to ComScore. That’s the equivalent of selling a single ticket, given that the U.K. Cinema Association puts the average movie admission cost in the country at £7.21.

“Poor Shia,” said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst at ComScore. “That opening could be in the Guinness World Records or something.”

The record in the US is like $14 for a movie called Zzyzx Road or something like that.

It only showed at one theater due to contractual reasons preventing it from being direct to video in the US though it was released in Europe.

The trailer seemed decent... As in, I'd happily watch it on Kodi

The film gained notoriety from its gross ticket sales of only $30 on its opening run, due to its intentionally-limited release at a single cinema,[1] making it possibly the lowest-grossing film in U.S. history in terms of box office sales.[2]

kinda want to watch now

The film involves a philandering accountant who goes to Las Vegas on a business trip, where he encounters the seductive Marissa and her jealous ex-boyfriend. The former pair kill and bury the latter along the eponymous "Zzyzx Road", a rural road off of Interstate 15 in California's Mojave Desert.

We must've seen two very different trailers.

The strategy had the side effect of making the film at the time the lowest-grossing film of all time, earning just $30 at the box office from six patrons.[2] Unofficially, its opening weekend netted $20. The $10 difference is due to Grillo personally refunding two tickets purchased by Sheila Moore, the film's makeup artist, who saw the film with a friend.[1]
