I’d say yes. I have to say I agree with the poster who said it is different, depending on the sexes. Still wrong, and criminal, but 45 years? Most murderers don’t get that much time these days.

True. Illinois is likely to release a mother who killed two of her children 30+ years ago with the diagnosis of postpartem and the shrinks were all over the news saying how she wouldn't have received that much in today's climate of understanding.

I guess I'm like a lot of the posters in this thread who believe in no mercy for men in these cases but some mercy for women. It's a double standard to be sure.
