We use Life 360. I like the crash feature. It also monitors our driving. I’m a terrible speeder but it has helped me slow down some. Well, that and the tickets.

It really depends on how "always sharing" is being defined and for what reason it's happening.

Is "always sharing" defined as the presence of some app on their phones they can use to find the phones if/when they get lost or is it something they mandated one another have so they can constantly see where the other person is? Those are two very different scenarios.

Are they both so busy that it's easier to coordinate by seeing where one another is? I have friends who have multiple kids playing multiple sports while also dealing with parents with health issues. An app where they can see where one another is can be helpful in deciding who should go and pick up Little Suzy from dance class or check on mom/MIL because they aren't answering their phone.

Does one of them suffer from some health issue like narcolepsy, early onset dementia, etc? That's a whole other reason.

My wife's job has her out of town for sometimes up to two or more weeks at a time (usually her shifts are 4 days on/off) with her "commute" being 5.5 hours away (so we maintain our house and an apartment). When she's making that long drive and the weather's bad, I could see using an app like that to check on her progress if I can't get ahold of her.

Just because your life doesn't go in a way that makes such an app and/or behavior more warranted (possibly even necessary) doesn't mean the lives of everyone else is that way.

I trust my wife completely.

I just use it so I know not to bother her when she's getting her migraine treatments from John Redcorn and I know what time to have dinner ready for her when she's headed home.

Yeah. We made kids share when they started driving and just all shared together. Never even been a thought of it being weird.

We’ll turn our’s on when one of us is traveling or heading somewhere outside of our norm. And I think we both forget to turn it off (we share on Google Maps). The fiancé has about a 45 minute drive out to BFE to drop off the step kid when it’s time for her to go to her Mom’s and it’s helpful if he runs into an issue doing that. I also had a client try to follow me home from the office a couple years ago and it was helpful then as well (I drove to the police station instead). Or when one of us has to go out of town for
work.

It’s obviously different if you’re doing it to keep constant tabs on your SO or “require” it out of jealousy/concern in relationships.

Don’t do sneaky stuff and it doesn’t matter. That’s why most don’t share. I don’t care. We all share our locations. Not sharing is completely about trust issues.

Maybe it’s a weird random thing that all me and my friends and close family just happen to do but I share my location with a lot of people lol. Like knowing where all my peoples be.

Tracking is only creepy if the only reason you can think to track is to keep tabs on someone based on insecurity.

I also wouldn’t want my kids tracking my every move, so it’s not based on insecurity. There is just an inherent ick factor to it for me.

I share my location if I’m going somewhere and there is an element of danger. It just expires after 24 hours.

This. We got Life 360 to see where the kids are at, but the wife and I are on it as well. Don’t see a problem.

Life 360 is a yuuge battery hog. I install it if I'm on a cross country road trip and uninstall when I return.

Do you really think your husband would stare at his phone all day so he knows where you are?

Like others have said: it’s good to know where the wife and kids are if I need her to pick something up, etc. and for safety reasons.

If my husband wanted me to, I would, and I’d probably get used to it to over time as well.

We run two businesses together and work together most everyday, and take kids to three different schools, two of which are about 30 miles apart.

So knowing where each other is is rather helpful.
