Life is considerably more interesting, entertaining in the company of ghosts, specters, phantoms, wraiths, little people and other inhabitants of the spirit world. At least, I've found it to be so.

Recently, my mother shared her keen sense of humor from the beyond in a somewhat crude but amusing way.

She had gastrointestinal problems near the end of her life that necessitated frequent use of the bathroom. After she passed away, on a final visit to her home, my sister and I heard what sounded like a series of flushings from the bathroom.

Turning to each other, my sister and I exploded in laughter--one last prank from Mom, telling us in her otherworldly way that she was still near to her children! And that she kept her sense of humor in the new dimension she was inhabiting.

Over 30 years ago my parents made me, my brother , and my sister go stay at my grandmas house for a week during summer. It was to be a "work" week helping her and her husband in the yard. She lived in an antebellum home on 50 acres and there were still slave quarter foundations in the field next to the house.

House was creepy as hell to me as a 15 year old. My brother and I slept on the fold out couch in the living room which was just to the right after you walked in the front door. To the left was a bedroom that was always colder than other rooms in the home. My sister slept there. This was one of those older homes with a long hallway from the front door to the back where the kitchen was located.

She had this clock sitting on the mantle over the old fireplace in the living room I slept in. The tick tick tick was nerve rattling when there is no other sound and one is already scared shitless. Second night there, I am laying there trying to go to sleep when I here my sisters faint voice across the hall. "Leverage" she says, "I think something is in my room." I started to get up to go check on her but when I did I turned to the left and saw a female child standing right behind the couch and the sofa table. She was screaming her head off but no sound was coming out of her mouth. I bolted like a pit bull was chasing me down the hall screaming to my step grandfather. He hauled arse out of bed with a pistol and ran down there but nothing was there except my brother who looked startled from being awakened by my screaming.

They told me it was my imagination and grandma sat by the couch watching TV until we fell asleep. We begged mom to come and get us the following day and my grandma agreed it was probably the best thing to do. I think they knew there was something going on in that house. My sister still says what she heard that night was like a snake hissing by her bed.

This is the same grandma who caught me beating off later that year at my house and got into a struggle with me trying to make me quit before I ejaculated all over both of our hands. But that was an altogether different story and has nothing to do with ghosts.

My one and only ghost story.

This would have been in 1985, just before my friend and I started driving. We were bored one weekend so we decided to spend the night in his uncle's house about a mile from mine. Story was it was haunted.

His uncle was paralyzed from the waist down, in Vietnam. He came back, and had this house built. It was a really cool A-Frame house with a lot of glass in the front. Had an elevator up to a loft kind of room that was open on the end to look over the doorway and living room, he could pull his wheelchair into it and ride to the upper floor.

He kept a pool table in the loft, which is supposedly where he shot himself in the head 4 or 5 years after he came back. Supposedly several families moved into the place, none of them staying very long, which is where the haunted rumor probably started.

Anyway, we were 15, and badass, and didn't believe any of that shite, so we decided we would spend the night there for kicks. No electricity, no candles, nothing. So we get in, everything is cool until about 2 or 3 in the morning when we both start hearing wheelchair tires, squeaking on the hardwood floor in the loft. We blew out of there like our asses were on fire, all the way to my house.

It was in another thread about the cringiest thing you have ever told your parents. It was the same grandma. My moms mom.

"It feels to good to quit."

But it was my grandmother. When I was 15 she walked in on me while I was masturbating. She looked at me with very shocked but sad eyes. She said "oh my.....noooo! I just said "please leave the room." I was in a state of euphoria and my mind wasn't right. She rushed over and grabbed my arm and tried to yank it away and a struggle ensued. She was losing the struggle and started crying. I said "I can't stop. It feels to good to quit." I ended up cumming all over both of our hands. I later felt very ashamed and told her I was sorry. She said she understood but what I did was a sin and I needed to be forgiven by Gd and not her.

When I was living in England with my mum and siblings me and a classmate made a homemade ouija board. Not to long after using it strange things started to happen. My sister said I began to wake up and talk to a dark corner next to my bed. It got worse and I began sleep walking and would wake up due to falling sensation. When I came to I would be in another area of the house. Was like I was levitated and then dropped in another room.

Often my mum or siblings would find me in the morning in a old chair in the corner of the living room. Things got worse and my mum asked the church for help. Instead this marred couple with the last name Warren showed up and helped my family.

Once the husband sat me in that chair and everything went dark. I begin speaking as if I was an old man who had died in that chair. He said I was possessed by a demon and long story short did an exorcism before I jumped out the second story window in an attempt to kill myself.

I owe the warrens my life.

I have a hunting camp in Alabama that is located where a very old house once stood. Everyone who sleeps in a particular bedroom is startled awake at 3:00am by 3 sharp bangs on the wall. It has happened to me dozens of times. I never tell anyone about it but several people have experienced this phenomenon.

Nah. We were good. I don't get embarrassed easily and she just chalked it up to my sinful nature and told me she would pray for me. I told her thanks and continued to sit by her at church until I went to college.
