This. He might have been right to get rid of the law professor, but generally I'm very reluctant to see a politician get their hands too deep into LSU.
The LSU system president has surprised me and exceeded expectations. I think we need to let him do his thing. I trust Tate based on his performance so far.

I'm hearing rumors that Jeff Landry wants to clean house?
Man piss on Jeff Landry. In my book, he has ONE frickING JOB to do:
Get legislation passed to do away with the bullshite law suits to allow him to get these fricking insurance companies in line.
We are getting R A P E D on vehicle and homeowners insurance.
He reminds me of myself when I had to study for an exam in High School.
I would sit at my desk in my bedroom, notebook, books, notes all placed perfectly to start studying. 20 minutes in, I saw that my desk drawer was a little junky, so I organized and cleaned all the drawers. Next, my dresser drawers needed some tiding up...an on and on. Instead of getting the important & difficult studying done, I did the easier petty crap. I would end up with a "C" instead of an "A" on the test.
The Governor gets an "F"
The Governor passes Cash is King so he can use cash to buy a coke at Tiger Stadium instead of a debit card
The Governor passes laws for LSU Women's bball / Men's Bball / Football to be courtside or sidelines for the National Anthem. ;

Our athletic department is in great fricking hands. Our fans suck and lack any sort of common sense or ability to reason.
The loudest people on here against Woodward are the Wade dickriders. And this coming from someone who is still pissed Wade is gone.
As it pertains to Wade's firing you have to be a smooth brain to believe Woodward wanted him fired. This was out of his hands and went straight to the attorneys and LSU BOS upon receipt of the first letter of investigation into Wade. I don't know if Woodward sucks at his job or is the second coming. But holding him responsible for Wade is beyond stupid.

I like Woodward and lean towards the 2nd coming.

Wade was a perfect fit for the job. I wonder if someone could put the bug in Woody's ear to possibly feel out LSU BOS just to check the temp on opening up talks with Wade. Everything he was accused of doing is legal now. Woody should reach out to Collis Temple and let him start the discussion with the BOS. The General is exactly what the team needs. Now that would be a big hire.

Agree 100%. TOPS/Higher Ed Funding Reform was unfortunately a "failure" for Bobby in that the schools and feckless media beat him on the messaging, and the Legislature didn't have the intestinal fortitude to actually require MERIT, because of the precipitous drop in minority qualifiers for each tiny incremental step up in requirement. A 20 ACT score and 3.0 GPA isn't indicative of any semblance of scholastic merit. Fantastic idea, disastrous implementation.

Some of the LSU BOS members are too far up Landry's arse... some aren't going anywhere!

All the bullshite with the Tiger was an attempt to get Tate to make a misstep, he didn’t.
There is only one guy the good ol boys fear in LA with regard to a second term: Tate.
Tate has traveled all over the state “promoting” LSU and himself. No other LSU President has traveled the state to that extent. The good ol boys are scared of him.

Lots of the good ol boys are apoplectic that a black guy is LSU System President. It’s a problem.
The bigger problem is he is smart, popular and the numbers don’t lie, across the board improvement for the whole system.

Boy, quit playing race all the time. Nobody fears Tate. Disagreeing with him on his view about Math being racist and on some of his changes at department levels isn’t fear. You sound silly boy by always implying that white people have to agree with blacks all the time or they are fearful, have a phobia, or one of those ist words.

Tate would beat Landry 60-40. State GOP knows it.
Not so much about race but quality of candidate.

Start with the board of supervisors
Needs some changes. I would hope for people who really like the school and want to see LSU succeed, not be based or focused on DEI politics, and not be anyone who will use LSU for their own benefit like some currently on the board. Though even as someone who doesn’t live in Louisiana and doesnt have LDS I feel Landry is one of those graduates from a state school other than LSU who out of jealousy or similar just dislikes LSU which makes me less optimistic that his choices would be good ones.

I wouldn’t call it a shake up. Landry wants to control everything from LSU to every board and commission.
