Somebody give me one good reason why stealing 949 dollars worth of property should be poo-pooed as a misdemeanor

I had a vacation in Sf about a decade ago. It was fantastic and I could not have been more impressed with its beauty. Now, it’s a complete shite hole.

SF is a case study on liberalism and it’s destruction of society.

When did society become so frightened of standing up to trash? Instead of saying "act right and quit stealing," we start to decriminalize theft.

When it became more important to not hurt a child’s feelings than to actually teach them to value effort and improvement. The whole acceptance movement (fat, ugly, not keeping score, not grading tests) stems from that

Not true. Only items of food, personal health and if its not for economic gain. In other words if you're stealing just to be able to eat or take care of yourself.

Alaska tried this and it was a total failure. People would walk in stores, walk out with stuff and there's not a damn thing that could be done to stop them.

To be fair, $949 in San Francisco can get you a night or two at a Holiday Inn.
