So... first a**hole question of the night - before we get into grapefruit sized hail - is my USTA match happening tomorrow morning? Trying to decide if I can have another glass of wine while we storm watch tonight.

I know this is slightly off topic, but what's coming this weekend to SE LA? Weather.com has a 100 percent chance of rain on Saturday.

Supposed to be hosting a pretty big crawfish boil that day.

Just a rain storm, like during the day a solid 1" of rain. Nothing severe to be worried about. Obviously some lightning though with it being this warm.

shite really isn't moving very fast.

Moist air is basically running up into that outflow boundary as drawn and it's been a focus for storms. Looking at the SPC's stuff, moisture convergence at the surface is lining up south of the current line. Might finally be ready to start building south more toward Dallas area.

This stuff needs to move east before the clouds to my south meet the clouds to my north.

RadarScope had a radar indicated tornado icon up but no warning box. I was just curious. There is a SuperCell SW of FtW that does have a Tornado Warning. That cell is moving NNE.

The Weather Prediction Center (WPC)

They do these little discussions about what's going on, but may be a bit technical for most.

The gist of the one 50 posted is what I was getting at earlier. There's a boundary of cooler dense air slowly progressing south from the storms on going. The moist air from the gulf runs into this and gets forced up, creating a focus for storms. It's been a really slow drift south, so areas under it are getting storms training over and dropping a bunch of rain.

There's a little system out in central tx moving east as well that will eventually focus the rain farther and farther east as well.

The storms out west of Denton in the warning have some big gusts with them. Would mean Plano, Frisco, Allen, McKinney are in line for it in the next couple of hours.
