From Brett Adair’s Twitter
The false report was that there was a wedge on the ground.

Hate it for some NWS Offices tonight….looks like there may have been a SEVERE false report issue on the TORE in Arkansas. Thankful for that (no devastating tornado) but it’s a huge issue. My guys have only tracked down wind / wind driven hail damage on the track.. :/

I will never shite on a NWS office and the decisions they make (well.....maybe the Memphis office), and I'm not saying that's what Brett is doing here....because he's not.
That has quickly become one of the most thankless jobs in the country. They don't catch a spin-up, they get shite on. They warn something questionable, they get shite on. They don't rate a tornado what WxTwitter thinks it should be rated, they get shite on. Put out a MOD and it busts, they get shite on. Make it a Slight and 12 tornadoes drop in a perfect mesoscale environment, they get shite on.
It is often a no win job. The worst part of it is, that most of that negativity comes from the weather community, or at least the loudest of that negativity. It has to suck at times for them.
Those of you trying to get into the field, just don't fricking read Twitter. Do your job the best you can, try to get better every day, and keep rolling.

Reed is the ultimate storm chaser, in that he isnt doing it for the recognition but because being in 70 mph wind driven hail is just the thing he enjoys.
Adrenaline junkie to the dangerous X a weather nerd.

Which, in turn, has gotten him more recognition than any other chaser out there. You have to admire that.

Its certainly not a style you can really. emulate though. Like a great racecar driver or fighter pilot, you gotta be wired a little different.

Wishin says he's gonna start boat chasing. Gonna zero meter the baddest waterspouts.

That would be ballsy even for Dale
ETA: the boat does have a radar and if you tilt it right you can see precep

That part sucks. People who should know better being overly critical. There's room for discussion after a warning miss that should happen because it's a learning opportunity. Being snarky about it isn't helping that process.

I have a highly curated weather feed for this reason. People who post shite that makes me smarter.

That's what I'm doing with the blog. Putting a forecast down on the record with my reasoning. See what worked. See what didn't and spend downtime explaining the basics and reading research.

It would be awesome to do a ride a long with Reed. Pick his brain a little bit, learn as much as possible, and get up and close to the fury of mother nature.

Coming an absolute flood here
Not sure how accurate it is but home weather station is up to 1.6 inches a hour, I’d say it’s higher than that but it keeps climbing so we will see
ETA: yea, it’s up to 2.74 now

I’m sure NE Arkansas is tired of seeing Tornado Emergency. We’ve become lightning rods for these things recently.

I’m not sure what the heck MEG was doing tonight. Ryan Vaughn called them out on air during the TOR coverage. They had storms producing tennis ball to baseball size hail and didn’t have a SVR out for it. It made no sense.
As for the SPC once upon a time I used to watch who was writing their disco’s and there were a few that sucked at their job because they would routinely have busts.

Tornado warning for Scott and Yell counties. I don’t have all the fancy radar and shite that Duke, legend and Boat has, so someone else will
Have to post it.
Have to post it.

My brother and 3 of his teammates from high school went to Williams in 94. Think only one of them lasted a year or 2.
There was some old church up that way and they got caught breaking into it. To be a Christian school, those kids up there knew how to party.
