Wow just woke up from a dead sleep because the alarm was going off and my double- locked front door had been blown open. It’s one of those ornamental wooden double doors that has the latch on the floor on one side. 20 years here and that has never happened. Yikes, it’s unnatural and creepy when you wake up and your front door is wide open. Must have been a hell of a gust .

Well at least I got a couple hours sleep before this junk woke me up

Lots of lightning and thunder in CenLA currently... and I hate that I'm stuck with a satellite TV provider currently

How bad did it get in Lake Charles?

I'm out of town and it's hard to search an almost 40 page thread. TIA

According to KPLC it was 20-40 mph gust depending on your location in Lake Charles. It was over in 10 minutes then hard rain for 20 minutes. Now a light rain happening. Wasn't too bad where I am outside of the brief wind gusts.

ETA I live downtown off of Lakeshore

Should BR brace for that lightning you’re getting? I’m not a fan of that

Tornado watch alarms just went off here in Bay St Louis. Don’t expect I’ll be falling back asleep.

Y’all think hunkering down in a camp on stilts is safe? We gonna find out I reckon.

At work in Donaldsonville and 5 out of 6 of our ammonia plants have tripped out due to the high winds fricking with the power lines.

I don't know but here just west of Lafayette it seemed like just a regular bad thunderstorm, except for all the south wind in front of it, which you are already experiencing.
