Last month I flew into AEX with a few buddies and we rode down to Philly's Pizza for lunch. Looks like that whole area is wiped out. Damn shame. That was some great NY style pizza too.

Yeah phillys is awesome but gone for a while now. Not sure if they’ll even rebuild because that’s an old building

We have created a very preliminary tornado damage path for the Alexandria tornado based on the radar signature. The path length has been estimated at 63 miles. One fatality has been confirmed by the Vernon parish sheriff's office and several more have been rumored.

Alexandria LA Police @AlexLAPolice
There are still no serious injuries or deaths reported to APD or Rapides 911 Center. Some people are stuck in buildings due to down power lines and police, fire, utility and others are working to get them out. We are not aware of anyone being pinned or trapped in a building.

Wow that path puts things in perspective. Just missed my sons school by less than a mile, bet they heard it...and probably about 2 miles from home... went right in between home and sons school which is 10 min drive. Feel blessed, now waiting for school to tell us when/how to get him because of the roads

We've heard from Abby Blocker, the Head of Advancement at Country Day School. She said that everyone is safe there. The school has no electricity. They are waiting for confirmation that everything is safe and that roads are passable before they dismiss students.
