Why I don't trust TWC. It was better when it was owned by Landmark

Yikes, hope nobody was in there. Those things are death traps with tornadoes but people refuse to get out of the way.

So what is happening as these storms move east? Do you think they'll strengthen back up as they approach the MS/AL line? In layman's terms: do we/will we (east ms) have the ingredients (forecasted or otherwise) that the boys in central LA have right now?

Reason I ask that the storm that went north of Jackson proper was a dandy and had a PDS attached to it, but it lost steam rather quickly. Just wondering if it's going to be us (golden triangle/tupelo area) in the bullseye after the folks in LA get their share of it, or is there some sort of meteorological explanation for the rapid de-intensification of the formerly mentioned storm?

I think the ingredients will still be plenty conducive to support severe weather and tornadoes, especially as the day goes on and the air continues to become unstable and the best dynamics move in. That said, I don’t think the ingredients in east MS and Alabama will be as robust as they are in south central MS and central LA. I would still anticipate a tornado watch further east later today/this evening.

that's at a dealership... so the only people that would've been inside is a salesman and a potential buyer

and what extremely shitty luck that would've been to get caught in a tornado while looking at a mobile home

Johnny Downs ball park torn to hell.

I have a pic, Ill see about uploading, but just imagine a bunch of fences down and and twisted metal. I hate it. With our incompetent city leadership we may never get it rebuilt.

There has been a gas leak in the Fairview area, which is being evacuated. PPD is trying to get Main Street Community Center opened as a shelter but it is not opened yet. Schools are sheltering in place. Asking parents to NOT pick up yet.

PPD = Pineville Police Dept.
